The Yearlings are Robyn Chalklen and Chris Parkinson, who have been writing and performing together for ten years, since first crossing paths at The Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2000.
Chipping away quietly at their sound ever since, they have recorded 4 studio albums and 1 live record.
Reminiscent of the great alt. country Americana genre, but born out of Adelaide, Australia, The Yearlings’ sound is a new strain of Australian Alt Country.
They have also been featured on R&Bs many times, including their appearance on August 26 2010 for a chat and a couple of live to air songs, reproduced here for your pleasure:
