On the shorter version of the show this week – new releases from THE BAD SHEPHERDS, ROY HARPER (his first new album in 13 years) and impressive UK folk duo DAVID GIBB & ELLY LUCAS.

In forthcoming weeks, we’ll have interviews with – and music from – some of the acts playing for season 2 of the Nexus World Music Program

October 17 – SUFI SOUL  “Sufi Soul present the timeless music and songs of North India and Afghanistan using traditional and classical music with influences extending across the middle east and Europe to create a unique world music sound.”

October 31 – JERI FOREMAN  “With a swag of awards and commendations from the best in the business, Jeri Foreman is one of the most outstanding young fiddlers in the country. As a Celtic fiddle player/composer, she is most often seen performing with Paddy Montgomery or Chris Muldoon. Currently, she plays with Astro Cobalt, Pining for the Fjords and Andrew Claremont’s Supper Club. A highly talented performer and composer in her own right, come see Jeri performing tunes from her recently released debut album.”
